How long does the battery last or how often does
the battery need recharge, and how long will the
battery last before needing replacing? |
| |
Depends on what kind of battery you purchase. We
do not supply the battery as the cost to ship
would be more than the battery itself. Robowaver
draws a 1/3rd of an amp per hour so a regular
car battery should last 150 hours before a
recharge is necessary. The Robowaver also is AC
so can plug directly to a wall socket. |
|
Can the Robo Waver be put out in the rain or
snow? |
| |
Yes.
It is made of 95% non-corrosive materials. |
|
At what wind speed will the Robo Waver fall over
even with weights in the bottom? |
| |
At what wind speed do you fall over! It all
depends on how much ballast/battery you place in
the base. We suggest that in greater than 20mph
winds, the Robowaver should be brought
under cover. Even a human waver would not be
happy about 20mph winds! |
|
What is the life expectancy of the Robo Waver.
Will the motor burn out after so many hours
etc...? |
| |
Robowaver should last for several years before
maintenance is require. The motors
have been tested for 2000 continuous hours and
they are easily replaced if or when needed at a
small cost. All other parts are
replaceable but unlikely to wear out any time
soon. |
|
Is there any warranty on it , how fragile is it? |
| |
Yes. The Robowaver comes with a
limited warranty of 12 months on motor parts and
labor. How fragile? May not withstand a ten
megaton bomb blast but will handle the task it
was designed for. |
|
We are in the Chicago area and are concerned
about wind, harsh weather and if someone drops
it. |
| |
With proper ballast it should
stay where it is placed. Moving it using a hand
truck and a bungee strap should prevent
damage. Make every effort not to "drop it".
